WA SHEARING INDUSTRY

Having worked previously for Pretzel Logic as their Senior Designer, I was the logical choice when Valerie Pretzel wanted a new WordPress website created for the WA Shearing Association.

I began by revamped their old logo, retaining the shear logotype, with new layouts and fonts used.

Valerie provided me with a site map and a rough content idea to follow, then I created the template for her to work with, purchasing images where required from dreamstime and 123rf before sepia toning or greyscaling them to give the site its rustic old fashioned feeling.

This site had a few extra programming requirements so I pulled Eleatha Beare from PureSec ICT onto the project to set up the Members Login and the Find A Contractor plugin.

WASIA members had special promo deals with shearing equipment providers, so I included a downloadable pdf Order Form and listed the various items available for sale to members on the Our Products page.

Most page layouts used temporary lorem ipsum text initially, then I taught Valerie how to update the text herself before Andrew Broad sent the site live.
