MOBILE X-RAY SERVICES
Responsive WordPress website (Cesis) . December 2020
Mobile X-Ray Services’ existing website wasn’t working in the back end when they came to me, and they badly needed to get back their number one position in Sydney and reclaim their name from their competitors.
Andrew and I recommended they use the sub-domain “sydney.” to bring that key word in at the front of their domain to effectively hit back at the other mobile x-ray companies in Sydney who were moving in on their turf. I re-wrote all the text and researched which key words to use to help make them stand out, strategically positioning them within the text and as alternative text tags.
Next I revamped their existing logo as it wasn’t easy to read from a distance and they hadn’t been provided with a high res version from their previous designer. As they are a mobile company, their vans are their biggest marketing tool – in effect a mobile billboard for their business. I loved the idea of the X with the thigh bones, a dirty great “x marks the spot”, and adjusted the font style so that it was centred and balanced, and used a high quality image for the bones themselves. The text itself needed to be much stronger and really stand out so I made a couple of layout alternatives with the heavier text standing out on the black background much like an x-ray or inversed doctor’s reading chart.
I really liked the original colour scheme used with the cyan and charcoal blue colour scheme, much like the x-ray colouring itself, so I kept with that colour grouping, completely changed the layout, and sourced royalty-free imagery to use until they were able to get a photo shoot sorted in the near future.
There’s more designing to come for this company from me, but it gives you the bare bones to start with!
